Dardenne Greenway, Western Suburbs of St Louis, Missourri

Greenways Incorporated is currently working in partnership with the Great Rivers Greenway District and SWT Design of St. Louis to prepare a master plan for the 30-mile Dardenne Greenway. This project extends along Dardenne Creek in the western suburbs of St. Louis, linking residential neighborhoods to nearby parks, schools, office and retail areas, and town centers. Greenways Incorporated’s role is to craft a visionary program of design and development for this Greenway. The project will involve designing greenway facilities to fit the specific natural and cultural environments that are encountered. To accomplish this, Greenways Incorporated has introduced a "vocabulary" of greenway facilities that can respond to varying environmental conditions, from conservation to multi-use trail development to blueways (paddleways). This project links to the 400-mile KATY Trail and the Lewis and Clark Memorial.
