Lower Pittman Wash Trail

Project Description > Working with the City of Henderson, NV, Greenways Incorporated has been developing the Lower Pittman Wash Corridor Feasibility Study, which will investigate the opportunities for trail development along areas that serve recreational, wildlife, scenic and other conservation purposes within the city’s drainage system.  The study will analyze the corridor along the Lower Pittman Wash and determine trail feasibility along these easements, as well as improvements to be made to the drainage features.  The proposed trail network will connect nearby residential, commercial, and recreational and institutional uses.  Challenges that the project faces include land use and development constraints, as there are limited opportunities for trail development within the established neighborhoods adjacent to the study corridor.  By providing trails within the drainage ways, the City of Henderson will be supplying non-motorized transportation to numerous nearby neighborhoods in addition to linking this trail to other trails and adjacent lands.
