Project Description > Greenways Incorporated, in partnership with Toole Design Group of Columbia, MD, prepared a comprehensive Bicycle, Pedestrian and Greenway Master Plan for the Greensboro Urban Area, North Carolina. One of the major goals of this project was to develop an integrated, connected system of on-road and off-road facilities for all users.  Numerous tasks were conducted including a detailed field assessment of existing greenways, bicycle facilities, and pedestrian facilities. Each greenway recommendation was described in detail with mapping, photographs, and descriptive text. Public participation, including input gathered from workshops and comment forms helped focus the need for these alternative transportation options. Nearly 800 combined online and hardcopy comment forms were completed.  We produced detailed GIS mapping of existing and proposed greenways, bikeways, and sidewalks.
