In July 2010, Greenways Incorporated President Charles A. Flink, FASLA, presented at the Fabos International Conference on Landscape and Greenway Planning in Budapest, Hungary. In 2009, Flink was invited by the Graduate School of Landscape Architecture at Peking University to address faculty, students and professionals on the subject of greenway planning, design and development. One the books coauthored by Mr. Flink, Greenways A Guide to Planning, Design and Development has been translated into Chinese and is being used as a textbook at the University. Flink spoke at the Peking University campus in Beijing and Shenzhen. In 2008, Flink, as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the East Coast Greenway Alliance, traveled to the Czech Republic to tour and collaborate with the Czech Environmental Partnership and the Central European Greenways Program. The purpose of the collaboration was to exchange ideas and strategies for ecotourism development.
