Bolin Creek Greenway Plan

Project Description > Greenways Incorporated is the lead member of a consulting team that is working with the Town of Carrboro planning staff and the Carrboro Greenways Commission to prepare a Conceptual Master Plan for the Bolin Creek Greenway.  The purpose of this project is to develop a multi-use trail that will serve the community as a transportation and recreation corridor.  Environmental sensitivity is a primary consideration in the design of the trail. If constructed, the trail has the potential to connect a high school, middle school, and two elementary schools; existing and proposed Town of Carrboro public parks; a network of forested nature trails, and several large neighborhood developments in northern Carrboro.  Work for this project is expected to be complete by the end of 2009.
