Susan Kirk, Landscape Architect

Susan Kirk is a Registered Landscape Architect in North Carolina with strong technical skills in site design, construction documentation, project management and construction administration.

Prior to joining Greenways Incorporated, Susan worked with Landscape Architectural offices in North Carolina, Virginia and Washington, focusing on a variety of urban and suburban landscapes. Susan worked on the schematic plan for the Leslie Campbell Memorial Avenue Streetscape for Campbell University in Buies Creek, North Carolina. The plan illustrated intersection improvements including decorative paving, sidewalks, crosswalks, and pedestrian/vehicular signaling coordinated with a traffic engineering firm and NCDOT. Shade and flowering trees were also located outside of the street right of way as well as along proposed medians to improve safety along the road.

With Greenways Incorporated, Susan has focused on the design and development of a diverse range of urban greenway and multi-use trail projects, including the Floyd Lamb Park, Las Vegas, NV, North Delaware River Greenway, Philadelphia, PA, Briar Chapel Greenway System, Chatham County, NC, Las Vegas Trails Gap Analysis, Island of St. Croix Bike Path and the Wake Forest Pedestrian Master Plan. She has developed projects using Vectorworks, AutoCAD 2002, Microstation and ArcView GIS.
