“We are excited about the prospects of providing our clients with the best possible consulting expertise in the Southeast and nationally, and building on Greenway Inc.’s history of high quality service,” says CEO Michael Jones. “Alta and Chuck Flink have worked closely together through the years, and now we have the chance to fully integrate our operations and maximize our ‘green infrastructure’ services.” Chuck Flink will continue to operate Greenways Incorporated as a forum for his teaching, training, and publishing.
Greenways Incorporated, founded in 1987, was one of the first consulting firms in the country to specialize in non-motorized transportation, including designing multi use trails, and completing bicycle, pedestrian, and trail master plans. Through the years the firm has been a pioneer in producing award-winning projects. Alta Planning + Design, founded in 1996 and headquartered in Portland, Oregon, has a staff of 70 professionals in 15 offices including Davidson, North Carolina.
Together, Alta/Greenways will have the largest amount of resources and project experience in the non-motorized transportation and greenways field in the United States.
